Women of Faith and Power Ministries, Inc., is a charitable non profit organization dedicated to improving the physical, emotional and spiritual health and well being of all people here in Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton Counties SC.
WFPM was founded in 1997 by Evangelist Mary F. Simmons, who continues to serve as Chairman & Executive Director.  We decided to step off the soul- numbing treadmill of "business as usual" social services.  WFPM was founded to change the way services were delivered to people in need. Volunteers and staff are trained to respond to each individual not as someone who needed assistance but as someone with many needs and a desire to become self sufficient.  They are urged to respond as much with their heart as with their hands when meeting with everyone.

CEO/Executive Director Statement The most important thing that I feel that we do is to treat people the way we desire to be treated and that is with respect and compassion.  The distinctive thing is Loving Kindness and to consider oneself, because no one knows what the future holds or who we will need to help us.
Board Chair Statement
One of the largest challenges we face an organization is funding and support from our community, partners and friends.  This challenge is being addressed by continuing to reach out to them as individuals, sharing our successes and encouraging them to travel with us as time permits in to the homes, and lives of our clients and encouraging them not only to give, but to pray that our territories will be enlarged and that the Lord will continue to give us favor.
We encounter, (ie)  a woman who has just given birth and in the midst of it all is informed that her place of residence has been destroyed by fire or a disabled man with no legs, has encountered the sheriff and his deputies coming over to evict him sitting on the side walk with his best friend (the dog) crying like a baby.
WFPM is called and ask to help.  This is our passion and our good pleasure to help  considering ourselves.
CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments WFPM is endeavoring to full fill the great commission of Jesus Christ.  St. Matthew 25.
