Board Chair Statement

The love these riders provide to the horses and the horses giving it back to the riders. To see each progress these riders make no matter how great or small.

We had a rider who had nothing fall in love with riding horses. Could not wait to show up for the next lesson - willing to learn everything he can.
He went to the South Carolina Special Olympics and won all five of the classes he enter. Showed off his ribbons to everyone he met and talked about what he had done.

He is no longer riding with us but we provided a solid base on his horsemanship and riding skills that he has been riding at a normal riding stables for several years now and is learning to jump.
CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

Horses have always been part of my life – and a very important part. They have provided a means for me to get away and think through a problem by just walking in the woods letting me sort things out. They have given me the camaraderie with other riders with horses as our number one focus. They have given me the freedom to just be me. Horses have been my comfort, my support, my friend and my therapy. Knowing how horses affect us humans and what a special part they can play in our lives brought me to LOVE – and I have seen over and over again how our horses meet the needs of our students. To see the joy and witness the special relationships that has developed at LOVE makes my life complete. It makes my heart glad to see how our students and horses respond to each other – these horses have opened a door that only they could open – and it’s truly wonderful to see the result.
